Pop Culture hairstyles | DIY | Star Wars – REY

Star Wars is one of the biggest movie franchises of all time. Here is a tutorial for the hairstyle of one of its recent additions; REY.

Step 1 – Take a section of your hair from the crown area and secure it tightly with an elastic band. While securing with the elastic band, use the last loop of the band to make a loop with your hair. Wrap the unlooped portion of your hair around the band and secure it with bobby pins. It should look a bun that’s sagged.

Step 2 – Take another section just below the section and secure it under the first loop/bun. Repeat the same as the first.

Step 3 – Do the same with the remaining hair, and you’re done! 😀

DIY | Braids | Cross Braid Hairstyle

Braids were the rage back during the times of kings and Queens in Europe. Here is a simple cross-braid that takes inspiration from those times.

Step 1 – Start with a centre partition.

Step 2 – Take a small section of hair at the partition and make a simple three-strand braid. Secure the braid with an elastic band.

Step 3 – Take another section just below and make another three-strand braid.

Step 4 – Repeat the same on the other side.

Step 5 – Take the first braids from each side and cross them at the back. Secure it with a ‘U’ pin.

Step 6 – Take the second braid and cross it over with the tail of the first braid. Remove the elastic band from the first braid. (If you’re taking the second braid from the right, you will be crossing it with the tail of the braid from the left) Secure this cross with a ‘U’ pin as well.

Step 7 – Repeat the same on the other side.

Step 8 – Join the tails of the second braids and secure them with a single elastic band. You can remove the elastic bands of those braids and secure them.

AND YOU’RE DONE! 😀

Step 2 – Take a small portion of your hair and twist it into a knot. Secure the unknotted hair with a bobby pin.

Step 3 – Keep knotting your hair till the start of your ear.

Step 4 – Secure each knot with a bobby pin.

Step 5 – Do the same on the other side and loosen the knots.

DIY Hairstyles | Simple Outdoor Hairstyle

Sometimes you don’t feel like styling your hair. But at the same time you don’t want to leave it loose or wear a simple ponytail; well here’s a style that might suit that particular day.

Step 1 – Make a diagonal partition.

Step 2 – Take a section from the major side and make a simple three-strand braid.

Step 3 – Pin the braid with a clip; preferably something stylish. Just bobby-pins would also do.

Step 4 – Make another three-strand braid under the first braid.

Step 5 – Once you reach the length of the first braid, braid downward. Every time you braid, add a little hair to your first strand.

Step 6 – Once you think you’ve added enough hair, braid the rest in a regular three-strand braid. Secure the braid with an elastic band.

AND YOU’RE DONE!
